A very warm welcome to my cosy straw-bale holiday home StroEnzo!

Make yourself at home in this lovely house, created using the natural materials of wood, straw and clay. Enjoy our books, magazines, toys and nostalgic LPs.

Most children really take to our ‘house of straw’ – the many toys here may have something to do with that. My guests are mostly families with children, couples or groups of friends on a weekend getaway.

This is the layout
of our straw-bale holiday home:

For your convenience, we provide a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bathroom, made-up beds and a homely atmosphere with books, magazines, candles, dress-up box, arts & crafts equipment, LP collection and more.

Holiday home StroEnzo offers:

  • 2 bedrooms with air-conditioning 
  • 1 bathroom with washbasin and shower
  • 1 toilet
  • large area with open-plan kitchen, dining area, sitting area with TV
  • long and very spacious kitchen island with kitchen equipment and utensils
  • a few play corners with Ikea play kitchen/dress-up box/blackboard/arts & crafts equipment/children’s books/comic books/Lego
  • magazines/books/LPs
  • terrace with wooden decking/garden furniture/sunshade
  • garden with dining bench/parasol/deck chairs/BBQ
  • for children: highchair/changing pad/safety gate at the stairs/travel cot (fits in both rooms)

We love giving you that home-away-from-home feeling on your holiday, as well as providing some hotel comforts.

The following facilities are included in the rental price:

  • Made-up beds
  • Bath towels
  • Kitchen towels/dishcloths/spong/mob/kitchen paper/dishwasher tabletscleaning product/disinfection material
  • Senseo coffee pods, tea, milk and sugar, salt and pepper, herbs and oil
  • Basic supply of toilet paper
  • Electricity/water/heating
  • Final cleaning service - of course according to safe cleaning guidelines 
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • free use of bicycle shed / washing machine / dryer 
  • Free parking at the house

> Regrettably, your dog can’t stay with you at StroEnzo. Via this link, you can book a gast-vrij dog-sitting service near StroEnzo – that way, your dog can join you on your outings during the day and sleep at dog sitter Katrijn’s at night. 

> No smoking in the house but you can smoke outside (on the terrace or in the garden).

> You can use the BBQ for a charge of 25 euros. Please bring your own charcoal.

StroEnzo is situated in Riemst, a small village in the beautiful Haspengouw region, in southeast Limburg.

Riemst is near Tongeren, Hasselt, Liège, Maastricht, Aachen and the Voer region. In other words, in Riemst, you are in the middle of the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion, with Flanders, Wallonia, the Netherlands and Germany all just a stone’s throw away.

Cycling, walking, shopping, visiting museums and discovering local delicacies: you can do it all here!
